One way to present music is to house it within an interactive environment. In that way the music is staged in a scenario and the listener has some choice in its duration and proximity. ‘Games’ are most often demanding and threatening – kill or be killed. But there’s a world of different experiences possible.
On this page are areas for ‘games’ that have been completed (while subject to renovation) or are slowly coming to life. They already have some alignment with the HaunTiki ‘style’ – but are now being guided by the ambitions of that style.
- 2013 ‘HH’ AKA ‘Hauntology House’ (completed – for Adelaide Festival and ABC Arts)
- 2016 ‘Snowglobe’ (completed – for Unsound Festival as ‘Treasure Map 2’)
- 2025 ongoing – a project to combine the first two into a single landscape.
- 2025 paused – ‘LUNA’ – a large scale story based on the 1939 Worlds Fair
- 2025 active – ‘Snakes’ – a cut down version of ‘LUNA’ to stage the workflow into sections.
